Michael Jordan vs LeBron James vs Kobe Bryant

All this talk of Bron Bron and how great he is honestly makes us sick. Is he a great basketball player? No doubt about it. Probably one of the top 3 in the league right now. But with his Heat on the brink of losing the NBA Finals, it got most everyone in the sports world wondering how can the LeBrontosaurus even come close to Jordan when it comes to rings, MVP’s and overall domination on the court.

I heard someone recently say, when LeBronster or Kobe has a bad game, you expect it every once and a while, but when Jordan missed a shot, you were shocked that he would even miss, let alone have a bad game. Let that marinate for a second.

Ok continue reading.

Some people argue that the NBA is much more talented all the way through nowadays, and that Jordan wouldn’t have been as good as he was. Let’s just say this, when Jordan was playing you had to play both sides of the ball, the NBA wasn’t some XBOX scoring frenzy like it is today. Phil Jackson said, “”Michael would average 45 with these rules.”

We found this great info-graphic comparing Jordan to Kobe, its amazing how Jordan’s stats are higher in almost every category.

(If someone can find/create a Jordan vs LeBronicle info-graphic, just post it in the comments)

Patti LaBelle ends Army Football Players Career

Get away from my bags

Or so he alleges. According to the lawsuit filed by former Army football player Richard King. The short of it is this. Ms. LaBelle was in her car waiting for her security team to put the luggage away. LaBelle asked King to move away from his luggage, and apparently he didn’t. That’s when Delta Team Six went into action and proceeded to beat the living junk out of King.

In the process King was given a concussion and said it ended his football career. He did take 2009 off but played the following year. LaBelle is arguing that she told him several times to move away from the luggage and that King was intoxicated. King maintains that he had only a few drinks on his flight, but was not drunk. We will keep you updated as this saga continues.

And that concludes the best title for a blog we have ever written.

Bryce Harper Blows Kiss To Pitcher

You got something on your face there

I know this kid is the next big thing in baseball. And yes he did hit a HR in this video. But I have a couple of pointers for him.

Know your place. You are in Single A baseball, granted the kid is going to get called up quick, but know your place.

Stop the antics while no one really cares about you, because when the Nationals finally call you up, you will not be able to pull off the same junk you are in Single A. And you know what that pitcher will come and destroy you in the majors.

Just tone down the antics, and I’m sure that will actually get you moving out of Single A faster.

Foul Balls Are More Important Than Kids

Baseballs are a very hard thing to find. They are so popular that no store can ever keep them in stock. So when one comes your way at a baseball game you should do anything and everything to get that rare object. Like this guy did.

It’s amazing how people throw common sense out the window just for a ball.

Infielder Finishes 19th Inning Game for Phillies

Baseball is a long game, with a really long season, but when it goes 10 EXTRA innings (another game plus an inning) you run out of pitchers.  That is why the Phillies called upon second baseman Wilson Valdez to go from playing second to pitching on the mound last night.  The Phillies crowd rose from their seats and shouted, “Let’s go Wilson” as he made the his way to the mound.  Just like a scene from a Disney movie I wondered, ” Will there be perfect ending?”

Wilson didn’t have it easy because the first batter he faced was Joey Vitto who was last years National League MVP.  Wilson threw a 90 MPH fastball to Vitto and eventually got him to fly out to deep center field.  Wilson also shook off the catcher’s signal in order to throw a different pitch in which Ryan Howard had to cover his face with his glove because he could help but smile when he saw it.  Howard told ESPN after the game, “I was like, What is he going to throw? What does he have? It was funny, but he got it done.”

Wilson didn’t throw a perfect game or inning for that matter.  He threw a wild pitch that got to the backstop, beaned Scott Rolen, and then went on to get Jay Bruce and Carlos Fisher (a relief pitcher) to fly out to end the inning.

The Phillies then loaded the bases as Ibanez hit a ball straight back to center field to bring in the winning run tagging from third.  In the 19 innings of play, the Reds used a total of seven pitchers and the Phillies used nine.  The game ended at 1:19 AM and they are scheduled to play today at 1:05pm.  Let’s hope that game doesn’t go into extra innings…

In response, Peter Moylan (Atlanta Braves pitcher) had a few words on twitter about the incident, “Wilson Valdez made my job and the job of 100′s look like its nothing… #itsharderthanitlooks RT @mdschaeff: Yo y u mad?”

George W. Bush Almost Hit With Foul Ball

It must be nice to be the ex-president of the United States of America. They get to enjoy the finer things of life, like a nice baseball game. The man worked hard for 8 years so he deserves a nice relaxed day at the park. Well not unless a foul ball comes flying your way.

At first the ball stayed in play as A.J. Pierzynski, catcher for the White Sox, ran around trying to postion himself for the catch.  As the ball was coming down Pierzynski and Mr. Bush both went for the catch and they both missed (not epic).

No one got hit although a lady who was not Mrs. Bush seemed to almost get the worst of it by jumping into the path of the ball.  Mr. Bush asked Pierzynski if he was alright several times in which Pierzynski responded he was and later told reporters “I just told him just because he was the president doesn’t mean I won’t jump on top of him.”
